School Counselor

Counselor, Deb VanDykeDeborah Vandyke, M.A., M.A.T., has provided innovative, cutting-edge English Language Arts instruction and Student Support for 18 years. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Education, as well as Counseling and Reading Specialist Masters degrees. She is available to MySchool@Kent. Students and their parents for scheduling, career planning, college preparation, as well as psychological and social support.

Counselor, Ed Steenbergen

Ed Steenbergen earned his Bachelors Degree from Grand      Valley State University in education and then pursued his Masters Degree in guidance and counseling from Michigan State University.  He previously was a guidance counselor for the Wyoming Public Schools.  He enjoys seeing young people succeed in their academics and finding their vocation beyond high school.

Counselor, Bob VanBelois

Bob VanBelois first got his B.S. in Business Education and his M.A. in School Counseling from Western Michigan University and his M.ED in Secondary School administration from Grand Valley State University. He enjoys helping students at the high school level with their educational needs. When he is not working he is golfing, skiing or riding his bike.

Counselor, Mary Moore

Mary Moore has enjoyed teaching and counseling students at the high school level since 1976. She has a BS in Business Education and an M.A. in Counseling and Personnel from Western Michigan University. In addition, she is a Licensed Professional Counselor. Her focus is helping your students articulate and achieve their goals.
